In the fall of 2016, incite partnered with Toyota’s Auto Show and Social teams to concept a social activation during the Los Angeles Auto Show for the unveiling of the all new 2018 C-HR. We were given free reign to develop a social activation promoting the release of the car during press day.
The client loved a bullet time photo booth activation we had done in the past, so we decided to take this a step further by adding an 18 foot wide lenticular wall. As users jumped or posed in front of the car and wall, our 20 cameras fired off simultaneously. The photos were then batch processed and output as a looping “gif style” movie, revealing the magic of the lenticular wall. Visitors retrieved the videos via email at our custom iPad kiosk app and then shared out to social channels.
The photo booth entertained hundreds at press day and was by far the most popular activation at the auto show. Photo booth participants included numerous high profile social influencers and celebrities as well as press and other VIP attendees. The C-HR branded videos were shared by the participants over Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and gained significant exposure online.
The entire project was concepted, designed, built, programmed, installed, and activated by incite in under 3 weeks.
