Experiential Activation

Wunderman Minneapolis presented us a challenge for the 2019 AIA Conference: create an experience for an event hosted by Sherwin-Williams where people could create their own digital paintings by mixing different paint colors. Guests approach a monolithic structure comprised of two 8’ x 8’ screens, and after checking in via RFID bracelet, they select between three paint types. Then, running their hands across the screen, they splash and mix paint across their “canvas.” When their experience ends, they select a color from their painting to become a custom color chip. Physical and digital takeaways would be simultaneously generated featuring the guest’s artwork and paint chip.
